Supplies Needed:
Long piece of butcher paper
Marker
Crayons
Directions:
Lay the butcher paper out on a flat surface. Have your child lay down and remind them to be very still. Trace their body with the marker and then show them how big they are! Color in hair, eyes, nose, mouths and any other parts of the body you want to include! Take time to tell them about where their heart is and how many fingers and toes they have, etc.
Parker had a BLAST doing this activity! I now have the "shadow" hanging above his bed.
We told him we were going to trace his body to make a shadow like in Peter Pan. He was so excited he could hardly contain himself. He was so eager to lay down and have me trace his little body. After we were done he wanted to fly- duh. (Like Peter Pan...) We had to explain to him that Tinker Bell was no where around and that we didn't have any fairy dust. :-)
You seriously amaze me with how you time manage. I don't think I will ever be as efficient as you are. I mean it!
