Gather all kinds of socks from around the house and place them all mixed up in a pile on the floor. Have the children match the socks!

Cat in the Hat Hat

Supplies:
Paper Bag
Red and white paint, markers, or crayons
Yarn

Directions:
Perhaps the simplest of Dr. Suess crafts is to make a Dr. Suess hat by simply painting a paper bag with white and red stripes. Yarn can be used to make sure that the hat sits tight on the child's head and doesn't slip over his or her eyes. What's Dr. Suess week without a little green eggs and ham??? Whip up this easy twist on breakfast in a snap by simply adding green food coloing to your eggs! Your kids will be singing your praises all day long.

Snack Suggestion: Cat in The Hat Snack
Make the Cat’s Hat for a fun snack. All you need is a few Ritz crackers, gummy lifesavers (preferably in white/clear and red) and a little vanilla frosting. Put the Ritz cracker on a plate. Use a little bit of vanilla frosting to glue the first lifesaver on the cracker. “Glue” more lifesavers on top of the first one alternating between red and white. These snacks are so cute; you may want to take a picture of your child’s creation before it is devoured.
